The International Statistical Ecology Conference will provide workshops on January 8-9, 2027 while the main conference will take place from January 10-15, 2027. The last day of the conference will be a half-day, ending at approximately 1pm.

Workshops

The workshops will be held at the ENES Unidad Mérida Campus, that is part of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). Transportation from the downtown area to the campus will be provided for workshop participants.

Main Conference

The main conference will be held at the Centro Cultural Universitario of the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan. Plenary speakers will give talks at a local theatre no further than 5 min from the main conference site. The locations will be provided once more information is available.

We have two hotels providing special rates for conference participants, the Holiday Inn Express and the Gamma Mérida El Castellano. Links will be provided after registration.

Traveling to Mérida

There are two general ways to arrive to Mérida, México. Either flying directly into Aeropuerto Internacional Manuel Crescencio Rejón, located in Mérida, or flying into the Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancun in Cancún and taking either the Maya train or bus from the Cancún airport to Mérida. Please keep in mind that there is a 1-hour time difference between Cancún and Mérida, in case that is your choice of travel.

There are many direct flights into Cancún from all across the world, but there are also many flights from the Mexico City airport to Mérida.
